Composite Column Capital

This marble column capital, decorated with two rows of acanthus leaves, dates to the 19th century. The motifs with the longest tips, all featuring five sections and three points, are in the middle section. The tips of these motifs extend outwards, touching the leaves on the sides. The leaves in the upper register support the symmetrical volutes of the capital. There is a floral motif in the middle of the abacus and three-pointed leaves on the volutes that bend towards the abacus.
