In this sculpture workshop, developed within the framework of the A Forgotten Woman of the Republic: The Many Ways of Melek Celâl exhibition, children aged 5-8 will first be introduced to a captivating bust of Melek Celâl. The artistic journey will commence with a guided tour through the gallery, where young participants will marvel at the intricacies of the bust and acquaint themselves with a variety of sculpture-making techniques. Under the expert guidance of our instructor, the children will then embark on the hands-on segment of the workshop, delving into air-drying clay. Commencing with the creation of simple pinch pots, they will grasp the fundamental principles of clay manipulation. Building upon this foundation, they will be encouraged to channel their creativity, transforming the pliable material into unique, three-dimensional sculptures. Whether their creations are abstract interpretations of Celâl's work or entirely original, this workshop promises a richly rewarding and immersive experience, where young artists are provided with the space and guidance to translate their ideas into tangible expressions.
